Cybersecurity & IT Operations Analyst
Location: Onsite (5 days a week in Painesville, OH)
Salary: $90-115K
Job Overview
Take the lead in enhancing the organization’s operational technology and cybersecurity measures through active administration, monitoring, and support of IT systems and processes. Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure the security, stability, and efficiency of technology operations, while also driving business systems, compliance efforts, cybersecurity initiatives, and end-user support.
Key Responsibilities
PLANNING:
- Steer the execution and compliance with IT policies, procedures, and cybersecurity protocols as mandated by corporate standards, SOX Compliance, ITAR Compliance, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CMMC requirements.
- Contribute to assessing and rolling out operational improvements, cybersecurity enhancements, and system support strategies.
- Assist in managing technology lifecycle, implementing patching programs, conducting access reviews, and promoting cybersecurity awareness initiatives.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Deliver daily IT operational support for users, business systems, infrastructure, and manufacturing processes.
- Oversee administration and support for Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange/O365, endpoint management frameworks, user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
- Support ERP systems and adjacent applications, particularly Infor XA (Mapics) and related manufacturing systems.
- Monitor and manage cybersecurity instruments, endpoint protection solutions, MFA systems, backup infrastructures, and security surveillance systems.
- Assist with efforts for vulnerability remediation, security inquiries, phishing response, and coordinating incident responses.
- Ensure system availability and operational continuity through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, patch management, and issue resolution.
- Lead compliance-driven initiatives related to NIST, CMMC, DFARS, SOX, and ITAR standards.
- Engage with vendors, service providers, and internal teams regarding operational and cybersecurity support, system challenges, telecommunications, and hardware/software needs.
- Maintain laptops, workstations, mobile devices, tablets, phones, printers, and accompanying peripheral equipment.
- Contribute to IT governance projects and participate in corporate IT alignment activities as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements, operational risk mitigation, and technology improvements within the organization.
- Provide operational support during off-business hours and weekends as required.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations while promoting an environment of ethical conduct, honesty, and integrity.
- Perform additional responsibilities as necessary.
Education & Experience Requirements
EDUCATION: A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred. A technical degree or equivalent experience is a must.
EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 3–5 years in IT operations, systems administration, or cybersecurity support experience is preferred, particularly in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in supporting Microsoft environments, networking, endpoint management, and cybersecurity platforms.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks including NIST, CMMC, SOX, DFARS, and ITAR is preferred.
- Experience in supporting ERP systems and manufacturing business applications is highly regarded.
Technical Skill Set:
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 / Exchange administration
- Strong skills in Active Directory management and user administration
- Experience with endpoint management and device support
- Knowledge of ERP systems in manufacturing settings
- Familiarity with Infor XA / Mapics is a plus
- Understanding of firewalls, networking fundamentals, and VPN technologies
- Experience with security monitoring and endpoint protection solutions
- Competency in backup and recovery solutions
- Experience in security awareness and training initiatives
- Familiarity with patch management and vulnerability remediation
- General infrastructure and operational support knowledge
- Awareness of security controls and best practices in cybersecurity
