Sr. IT Applications Engineer (Dayforce)
Direct Hire
Onsite (5 Days onsite in Cleveland, OH)
$100 – 130K + 15% Bonus

Our organization is on the lookout for an accomplished Senior IT Applications Engineer with exceptional technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to enhance our Dayforce HCM platform. The individual in this position will take charge of Dayforce configurations, reporting, integrations, release testing, and continuous support for stakeholders in Payroll, Benefits, HR, and IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Dayforce HCM Administration.
  • Collaborate with Payroll, Benefits, HR, and IT departments to identify business requirements related to core Dayforce modules, which include Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Reporting Analytics, and Workforce Management.
  • Manage the configurations of the organizational structure.
  • Create, maintain, and schedule custom reports within Dayforce.
  • Administer and provide support for Dayforce integrations, encompassing DF Link, Integration Studio, Dayforce Imports & Exports, as well as API-based and file-based integrations with third-party vendors.
  • Diagnose integration failures, address data mapping challenges, and collaborate with vendors when necessary.
  • Execute and track regular data jobs and automated tasks.
  • Review Dayforce release notes and evaluate the impact on the system.
  • Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system updates, patches, and new functionalities.
  • Document test cases and ensure the delivery of high-quality new configurations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and technical support to external vendors.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical and development issues.
  • Employ Webservice and SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
  • Use knowledge of C#/.NET and Java to troubleshoot, maintain, and develop custom HR applications (Union Officers, Vacation planning, Apprentice system).
  • Utilize advanced Excel techniques, including formulas, pivot tables, and macros for data analysis and validation.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Dayforce HCM in an administrative, analytical, or technical capacity.
  • Proficient understanding of Dayforce configuration, reporting, integrations, and HCM processes.
  • Experience in SQL querying and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as VB.NET, Java, or similar.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills combined with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate across functions.
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and produce high-quality results.
  • Detail-oriented, systematic approach with a proactive mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale HRIS projects.
  • Knowledge of API integrations or web services.
  • Certifications in Dayforce related to Payroll, HR, or integrations.
  • Familiarity with SDLC processes, Jira, DevOps, GIT, or release management tools.
