Overview of the Epic Principal Trainer Role
We are in search of a seasoned Epic Willow Principal Trainer to enhance pharmacy application training efforts in a fully remote setup. This position involves developing educational content, overseeing the training environment, supervising Credentialed Trainers (CT), and conducting training sessions for end-users of Epic Willow applications.
Key Responsibilities of the Epic Principal Trainer
- Design and update training programs and resources for Epic Willow users across Inpatient, Ambulatory, and pharmacy settings.
- Construct, configure, and oversee the Epic Master Training (MST) environment.
- Develop and keep current training scenarios, patient information, and workflows.
- Manage and mentor the Credentialed Trainer (CT) initiative.
- Facilitate training for super-users, pharmacy teams, and management.
- Work together with application analysts on workflow modifications, system enhancements, and optimization projects.
- Assist during go-lives, system updates, and continuous user education efforts.
Qualifications for the Epic Principal Trainer
- Certification as an Epic Willow Inpatient Principal Trainer is essential.
- Certification as an Epic Willow Ambulatory Principal Trainer is required.
- Training Environment Development (TED) certification is mandatory.
- Experience with Epic Willow pharmacy applications is crucial.
- Strong background in instructional design and delivering training sessions.
- Proven experience in managing Epic training environments.
- Understanding of pharmacy workflows and hospital operations is important.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are necessary.
- Experience with Willow Inventory is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Specialty Pharmacy workflows is preferred.
- Experience with developing eLearning using Articulate is a plus.
