Electrical Engineer
Phoenix, AZ
Pay: $86/hr

The Electrical Engineer plays a pivotal role in enhancing manufacturing operations by diagnosing issues and maintaining automation, control, and electrical systems within a dynamic production setting. This position emphasizes PLC programming, HMI design, industrial networking, and ensuring equipment reliability, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to bolster operational efficiency and sustain continuous manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer:

  • Enhance manufacturing operations through the troubleshooting, maintenance, and advancement of electrical, control, and automation systems across production lines and facility infrastructure.
  • Program, adjust, and resolve issues with PLC systems to boost equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and maximize production efficiency.
  • Create, configure, and uphold HMI applications to improve operator engagement, system oversight, and process control capabilities.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures on automation and control systems to guarantee safe and dependable operation.
  • Assist in the commissioning, startup, and validation of new manufacturing equipment, control upgrades, and process enhancement projects.
  • Work closely with maintenance, operations, engineering, and production teams to discover areas for continuous improvement regarding equipment performance and manufacturing workflows.
  • Diagnose and maintain industrial networking systems, communication networks, and control software utilized within automated manufacturing settings.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to assist with installation, maintenance, and system adjustments.
  • Ensure adherence to company safety protocols, electrical standards, and manufacturing best practices while fostering a safe and efficient production environment.

Qualifications for the Electrical Engineer:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing context.
  • At least 3 years of experience in controls and automation.
  • Proficient in PLC programming.
  • Understanding of HMI development.
  • Experience with control circuits including 480/277VAC 3-phase, 208/120VAC 3-phase, 24VDC, 4-20mA, 0-5V, and 0-10V.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and manage networking systems and industrial control software.
