Program Manager Officer
Location: Avon, OH
Position Summary
We are on the lookout for a seasoned Program Manager Officer to oversee extensive, cross-departmental projects in alignment with our strategic goals within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing setting. This position entails spearheading program execution, forming governance frameworks, overseeing budgets and timelines, and guaranteeing the successful rollout of intricate enterprise-level initiatives.
The ideal applicant will possess robust leadership skills, refined program management experience, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with executive stakeholders while managing diverse teams across various functions and departments.
Core Responsibilities
- Direct large-scale, enterprise projects that are in sync with the company’s strategic vision and priorities.
- Oversee program budgets, schedules, resource distribution, and ensure overall execution.
- Create and uphold program governance structures, reporting guidelines, and performance indicators.
- Recognize, evaluate, and alleviate program-related risks, dependencies, and challenges.
- Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams to achieve program goals successfully.
- Deliver regular updates and reports regarding program status and effectiveness to executive leadership.
- Guide and mentor project managers and other program management team members.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on governance and operational excellence.
- Ensure coherence between organizational strategies and daily program execution.
- Assist with change management activities related to program execution.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is a must.
- At least 10 years of experience in project and/or program management.
- Proven experience in managing large and complex enterprise initiatives.
- PMP or PgMP certification is highly desirable.
- Experience in aerospace, manufacturing, defense, or similarly regulated industries is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Expertise in enterprise program governance.
- Ability to lead teams across various functions in both a direct and indirect manner.
- Strategic planning and alignment for effective execution.
- Financial management including budgeting and forecasting.
- Strong competency in communicating and reporting to executive stakeholders.
- Managing program risks and interdependencies.
- Experience with portfolio reporting and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with organizational change management principles.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent skills in written and verbal communication.
