Position Overview:
The Senior Accountant – Fixed Assets will play a critical role in assisting with the preparation of financial statements, managing fixed asset accounting procedures, and ensuring financial reporting is both precise and prompt. This position is essential for enhancing internal controls, facilitating audits, and promoting ongoing improvements within accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and evaluate account reconciliations to ensure they are accurate and thorough.
- Document and validate journal entries pertaining to fixed assets and general ledger transactions.
- Oversee the maintenance and reconciliation of fixed asset subledgers and associated financial systems.
- Assist in the closing processes at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
- Collaborate with internal finance, operations, and corporate stakeholders.
- Engage in both internal and external audits, supplying necessary documentation and analysis.
- Lead efforts for process enhancements and automation within accounting functions.
- Guarantee adherence to company accounting guidelines and regulatory standards.
- Provide support for special projects and conduct ad hoc financial analysis as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (with a focus on Accounting preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years of applicable accounting experience.
- Strong grasp of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA certification or CPA eligibility is highly favored.
- Experience in accounting for fixed assets is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
- Meticulous attention to detail along with strong organizational skills.
