Mobile Collections Specialist
Location: Jasper, IN
Pay Range: $16-18/HR
Schedule: Mon-Fri 11a-7p
As a Mobile Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting home visits to collect biological samples from individuals who need to undergo drug testing as part of their requirements with the Indiana Department of Child Services.
Key Responsibilities of the Mobile Collections Specialist:
- Travel to the residences, workplaces, or designated DCS offices of participants to gather urine, oral, and/or hair samples.
- Prepare and process samples for laboratory submission, ensuring accurate logging and assembly.
- Complete and file necessary documentation such as requisitions and chain of custody forms.
- Deliver specimens to appropriate drop-off locations or laboratories.
- Maintain thorough records of all interactions with clients and patients.
- Visit third-party collection sites for inspections as required.
- Assist the Program Manager and Regional Lead in verifying that third-party locations adhere to Cordant’s quality standards for the Indiana Department of Child Services program.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements for the Mobile Collections Specialist:
- A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- A minimum of one year of experience in customer or patient-facing roles is required.
- Previous experience in healthcare, criminal justice, or a similar field is desirable.
- Competence in conducting observed collections and gathering biological specimens is essential.
- Willingness to travel for emergency and after-hours collections with minimal notice (within one hour), which may include overnight and weekend shifts, is needed.
- A valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and proof of auto insurance with the candidate listed as an insured driver are required.
- Ownership of a smartphone capable of enabling location tracking is necessary.
- Basic computer literacy and the ability to independently install applications are required.
- Must demonstrate strong attention to detail along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to thrive under tight deadlines while effectively managing communications in potentially stressful or dynamic scenarios.
- Physical ability to lift or carry up to 25 lbs, along with endurance for prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Willingness to wear scrubs and personal protective equipment such as gloves is required.
