Job Title: Porter/Dishwasher
Location: Medina, OH
Pay Rate: $15.10/hr
F/T and P/T – 12pm-8:30pm | M-F with every other weekend off
P/T – 6:30am-3:00pm | M-F with every other weekend off
We are seeking a dependable and diligent Porter/Dishwasher to become a part of our hospital food service team. In this position, you will be instrumental in ensuring a clean and sanitary kitchen atmosphere, facilitating daily operations, and contributing significantly to the well-being and nourishment of patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dishwashing and kitchen areas.
- Manage the disposal of trash and recycling; keep floors and surfaces tidy as necessary.
- Transport food carts and supplies throughout the hospital premises.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of food deliveries.
- Adhere to hospital safety, sanitation, and infection control protocols.
- Support kitchen staff and undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, porter, or janitorial role is advantageous (but not mandatory).
- Strong work ethic accompanied by a keen attention to detail.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- A team player with effective communication skills.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Dedication to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality patient care.
