The role of the Cook involves the preparation and serving of meals within a private corporate hospitality setting, utilizing predefined menus and planned meals. This position contributes to the hospitality and guest service operations by creating meals for groups of approximately 12 to 200 guests, while ensuring a clean, organized, and professional atmosphere. This differs from traditional restaurant roles and emphasizes adaptability, teamwork, and a focus on hospitality.

Alongside meal preparation, the Cook will also engage in housekeeping and facility maintenance tasks, which may include cleaning guest rooms, restocking supplies, and performing general cleaning duties as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals in line with established menus and anticipated guest numbers.
  • Calculate necessary food quantities based on expected attendance and service requirements.
  • Ensure meals are cooked and served promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly kitchen, food prep, and hospitality areas.
  • Adhere to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols at all times.
  • Participate in housekeeping tasks such as cleaning guest rooms, handling turnovers, providing stay-over services, and general facility cleaning.
  • Restock coolers, supplies, and hospitality materials as necessary.
  • Assist hospitality and customer service teams to guarantee a pleasant guest experience.
  • Exhibit a professional attitude and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Adjust to changing schedules and operational requirements based on guest activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in cooking or food preparation is preferred.
  • Experience in hospitality, catering, or corporate dining is preferred.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Ability to work flexible morning and evening shifts.
  • Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Professional demeanor and a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within a private corporate setting.

Schedule & Hours

  • Shifts are structured around guest schedules and facility requirements.
  • Morning and evening shifts are available.
  • Start and end times may vary.
  • Approximately 15–40 hours of work per week.
