Food Service Worker
Medina, OH
$16/hr.
Full-Time | 40 hours | 6am – 2:30pm w/EOW
Part-Time | 24 hours | 3 shift options
6am-2:30pm; 11:30am-8pm; 2:30pm – 7pm, w/EOW Food Service Worker Responsibilities:
- Prepare, portion, assemble, and serve food items according to production sheets, menus, and recipes while maintaining high quality presentation and portion control.
- Operate kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, stoves, etc.) safely and efficiently.
- Assemble and deliver patient trays to rooms in a timely and accurate manner; assist nutrition staff as needed.
- Prepare cold foods, assist cooks, and help with special dinners/luncheons when required.
- Stock supplies, organize food products, and maintain proper inventory levels.
- Practice safe food handling, sanitation, and infection control standards at all times.
- Follow all hospital and department policies, including safety, attendance, dress code, and confidentiality.
- Work collaboratively with team members and provide courteous service to patients, staff, and visitors.
- Report equipment, supply, or quality issues to supervisor; complete required training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities (as needed):
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, dishes, and floors using proper procedures (“clean-as-you-go”).
- Operate dish machine, trash compactor, and other department equipment.
- Sweep/mop floors, remove trash, wash pots/pans, and transport food carts, supplies, and heavy items.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work environment.
