Travel Sterile Processing Technician

2nd & 3rd Shift As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and sterile environment for surgical procedures. Your attention to detail, knowledge of medical terminology, and understanding of sterile processing techniques will contribute to the success of our healthcare team. - Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and sets
- Follow proper aseptic technique to prevent infection
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure sterile supplies are readily available for surgical procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the handling and disposal of hazardous materials
Sterile Processing Technician Qualifications:
- Must be certified
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Strong understanding of sterile processing techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of physiology to understand the purpose and function of surgical instruments
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
- Attention to detail to ensure proper cleaning, assembly, and packaging of surgical instruments
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare professionals
