Electrical Engineer
Browns Summit, NC

We are looking for a proficient and meticulous Electrical Engineer to assist with the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of electrical systems, equipment, and components across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. This position is accountable for ensuring the efficient and safe completion of electrical projects while adhering to relevant codes, standards, and customer specifications. The ideal candidate will exhibit robust technical skills, adept problem-solving capabilities, and a history of effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams throughout various project stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and sustain electrical systems, components, and products.
- Employ computer-aided engineering and design software to generate technical drawings, system layouts, and engineering plans.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, technicians, contractors, and project stakeholders to clarify project specifications and requirements.
- Draft specifications for electrical systems, technical documentation, and engineering or topographical diagrams.
- Conduct thorough engineering calculations to define standards for construction, manufacturing, and installation.
- Confirm that all installation, operation, and maintenance tasks align with relevant codes, regulations, and customer guidelines.
- Oversee and coordinate the installation, testing, manufacturing, maintenance, and support activities for electrical systems and equipment.
- Compile reports, studies, and documentation pertaining to current and upcoming electrical engineering projects.
- Create specifications for the procurement of electrical equipment and materials.
- Estimate labor, material, and construction costs to aid in project budgeting and planning.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing electrical systems and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred.
- 7-10 years of experience in designing and supporting electrical systems in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing settings.
- Expertise in CAD and other engineering software tools.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
- Proven experience collaborating with technicians, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with project management or coordination.
- Familiarity with electrical testing, troubleshooting, and system commissioning.
- Understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and procurement processes.
- Leadership or supervisory experience within engineering or technical settings.
