Industrial Technician
$25/HR

As an **Industrial Technician**, you will play a crucial role in a research laboratory dedicated to enhancing operational stability, boosting productivity, and driving growth across various sectors, including composites and insulation. Your responsibilities will include gaining proficiency in the preparation and testing of glass and raw material samples, along with the operation and upkeep of laboratory equipment. You will collaborate closely with technical and interdisciplinary teams to facilitate project tasks, which may involve activities such as glass melting and assessing different raw materials.

Key Responsibilities of the Industrial Technician:

  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety by adhering to all laboratory and site protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, using proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and promptly reporting any incidents.
  • Foster a culture focused on zero injuries, defects, and losses by actively engaging in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) efforts.
  • Prepare and conduct tests on glass and raw material samples, including evaluations of physical properties across various materials.
  • Operate and maintain machinery used for mixing, melting, cutting, and grinding materials.
  • Conduct glass and refractory tests under high-temperature conditions.
  • Work in partnership with team members to fulfill lab requests and assist with high-priority projects.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and achieve laboratory targets and objectives.

Qualifications for the Industrial Technician:

  • High School Diploma or GED required – Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is necessary.
  • Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in raw material splitting and grinding processes.
  • Knowledge of particle size sieving methods.
