Maintenance Technician
Location: Solon, OH
Shift: 2nd or 3rd
Compensation: $30-40/HR

The Maintenance Technician will be tasked with the installation of new machinery, as well as the inspection and repair of current equipment. This role involves ensuring that operations run smoothly on a daily basis, performing preventative maintenance on process machinery and facility systems, and providing prompt emergency repairs when required.

Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician:

  • Enhance professional and technical skills through workshops, in-depth review of industry publications, networking, and engagement in professional organizations.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team to achieve related objectives as necessary.
  • Maintain regular communication with management, including the director, vice president, and president, as well as other key contacts in the organization.
  • Fulfill additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Carry out repairs and preventative maintenance promptly.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
  • Alert management regarding the need for parts and supplies.
  • Comprehend and adhere to quality sign-off protocols.
  • Follow all safety regulations meticulously.
  • Recognize and comply with safety and quality standards, ensuring proper documentation where necessary.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Qualifications for the Maintenance Technician:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED; an Associate’s degree, Technical Certificate, or Journeyman’s Card is highly desirable.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the chemical or production industry.
  • 2-5 years of hands-on mechanical and electrical experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Capability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds and demonstrate the physical dexterity essential for assembling polymerization reactors.
  • Proficient with computer software, including Word, Excel, and email applications.
