Quality Inspector
Twinsburg, OH
Competitive Pay! The Quality Inspector will conduct visual, dimensional, and functional inspections. These inspections will be completed on a variety of mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. The Quality Inspector will perform these during the receiving, in-process, and final inspection stages. Quality Inspector Responsibilities:
- Inspect mechanical and electrical parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies during receiving, in process, and final inspections
- Generates and files the necessary inspection data sheets and documentation for recording and reporting of inspection results
- Performs visual soldering inspections per the requirements of governing standards
- Responsible for identification, documentation, and securing of nonconforming parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies and submissions to the Material Review Board for disposition
- Review and approval of First Article Inspection reports in accordance with the applicable procedures and SEQ AS9102
- Works with production and control inspection priorities
- Works effectively with all internal departments, customers, and regulatory agencies to exceed internal and external expectations for customer satisfaction
- Provides inspection feedback to suppliers and other departments to improve quality
- Focuses on continuous improvement and consistently demonstrates good business judgement
- Assist with root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
- Extra hours may be required during the peak seasons
Quality Inspector Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a quality control inspector
- Experience performing inspections of mechanical and electrical parts
- Proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, height gauges, go/no-go gauges, coordinated measuring machines (CMM), and other inspection measuring tools
- Proficient in reading blueprints and specifications
Quality Inspector Additional Skills:
- Solder certification
- Working knowledge of SAP
- Experience working in an ISO9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environment
- Continuous improvement or 5S activities
