Production Operator
Location: Rittman, OH
Shift: 2nd – $23.41/HR, 3-11 PM
As a Production Operator, you will take on a range of responsibilities focused on the operation of various machinery and equipment across different shifts as needed. This role often involves considerable physical effort.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Operator:
- Manage bagging or packaging machines to achieve target production rates and maintain operational standards.
- Fill, stack, and transport products to designated storage areas.
- Make adjustments and conduct minor repairs to ensure smooth production flow.
- Adhere to production schedules while accurately logging operational data.
- Support the supply line with the necessary grades of salt.
Production Operator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
- Capability to operate powered industrial vehicles is required.
- Previous experience in manufacturing is advantageous.
- Availability to work on any shift and flexible schedules is essential.
- Comfort with consistent overtime and weekend work as necessary.
- Physical capability to lift up to 65 lbs regularly, along with maintaining high work speed while standing and achieving tasks that involve grasping.
- Frequent bending, carrying, pulling of weights up to 65 lbs, and activities that require twisting, reaching, and fine motor skills.
- Ability to hear effectively and perceive depth accurately.
- Working in conditions with noise levels at or above 80dB is standard.
- Exposure to frequent vibrations, dryness, dust, and mechanical hazards.
- Personal protective equipment such as eye protection, hearing protection, head coverings, and safety footwear is mandatory.
