Marketing Specialist Overview:
We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic marketing professional to become part of our team in a practical, entry-level role. Located in our Minnesota office, this position will be key in assisting with marketing efforts, managing essential marketing systems, and ensuring the efficient handling and distribution of marketing resources. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with various teams, including sales, product-oriented teams, and external partners, to help implement campaigns, improve customer engagement, elevate brand recognition, and assist with events sponsored by the company.
Marketing Specialist Responsibilities:
CRM Administration & Marketing Process Support
- Serve as the main contact for day-to-day CRM functions, which include user support, data upkeep, and regular system management.
- Ensure database precision by overseeing contact records, account data, audience segmentation, list organization, and resolution of duplicates.
- Support marketing and sales activities by aiding in campaign tracking, developing email audiences, and reporting tasks.
- Create and update documentation for CRM processes, while suggesting enhancements for better user adoption and data integrity.
- Engage with internal departments and external service providers to fulfill CRM needs and implement system improvements.
Marketing Asset Management
- Manage the ordering, storage, monitoring, and distribution of marketing materials, encompassing printed collateral and promotional items.
- Coordinate schedules for production, shipping logistics, and fulfillment tasks for customers, events, and internal teams.
- Maintain organized digital and physical stores of approved marketing assets, ensuring staff access to the latest versions.
- Track inventory levels and usage patterns to facilitate timely restocking and budget-conscious purchasing decisions.
Social Media Management
- Create and publish content for the company’s social media platforms while adhering to branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
- Manage content calendars and organize review and approval processes when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal experts to transform technical details into compelling, audience-friendly content.
- Track key engagement metrics like impressions, interactions, and click activity, and offer optimization recommendations.
Multimedia & Content Development
- Assist in producing video and digital content through planning, scripting, coordination, and production support.
- Carry out basic editing tasks such as trimming clips, adding subtitles, and preparing content for various platforms.
- Organize logistical elements for content creation projects, dealing with scheduling, locations, equipment, product samples, and stakeholder alignment.
- Oversee and maintain approved creative resources, such as photography, video snippets, logos, and branded templates.
Event Marketing Support
- Help promote events hosted by the company or partners, which may include trade shows, educational seminars, webinars, and training sessions.
- Assist in event execution by preparing marketing materials, promotional items, signage, tracking attendee registration, and conducting follow-up activities.
- Contribute to event-related communications, such as invitations, reminders, post-event summaries, and reports.
Marketing Planning & Optimization
- Engage in the development and refinement of marketing strategies by sharing ideas for campaigns, communication methods, and audience engagement tactics.
- Collect feedback and insights from sales and product teams to ensure messaging aligns with customer needs and market trends.
- Conduct competitive analysis by observing industry players, marketing strategies, product positioning, and communication efforts.
- Support quarterly assessments by compiling performance data, documenting key insights, and identifying areas for further improvement.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience from internships or professional roles.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Strong written communication abilities and the capacity to comprehend and convey technical information.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet deadlines effectively.
- Eagerness and capability to learn new software systems and marketing technologies such as CRM, scheduling, design, and content creation tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CRM platforms, particularly HubSpot, focusing on contact management, list preparation, and reporting capabilities.
- Experience in business-to-business marketing, ideally within manufacturing, industrial, or technical sectors.
- Proficiency in creating and distributing content for both professional and social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Knowledge of design and content creation software such as Canva, Adobe products, or video editing tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, or DaVinci Resolve.
