Key Responsibilities of the Business Analyst
- Establishes overarching application architectures, analyzing relationships, processes, activities, and functions to create both business and system use cases or functional specifications.
- Evaluates intricate and novel scenarios, foresees potential issues and upcoming trends, examines opportunities, impacts, and risks, while formulating and executing solutions for customer challenges.
- Proficiently develops business requirement documents (BRD), detailing project needs including budget, objectives, key milestones, and timelines.
- Applies skills and expertise to projects, supervises acceptance testing, aids in the creation of user manuals, delivers user coaching, and supports process development for users.
- Works alongside the scrum master to monitor sprint progress (including sprint log metrics and variances in planned versus executed user stories).
- Engages in troubleshooting any functional issues that arise in the post-production environment during the transition phase.
- Operates with minimal oversight from senior or lead business analysts.
Business Analyst Qualifications
- Exhibits strong customer interaction and relationship management skills, excelling in a senior business analyst capacity within teams.
- Capable of leading and guiding peer and junior analysts effectively.
- Prior experience required in engaging with clients from Retail, CPG, and Logistics sectors.
- Familiarity with fundamental information security practices, software security throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and key OWASP Top 10 principles is necessary.
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in B.E./B.Tech/BCA; Master’s degree in M.Tech/MCA is preferred; MBA from a top-tier business school is an advantage.
