Teaching Artist – Social Dance & Youth Development Instructor
- Cleveland, OH + Travel Across Northeast Ohio
- $30–$35/hour | Part-Time | School Year Position
- Potential to Earn Up to $1,000 in Bonuses ($500 for Training Completion + $500 for Residency Completion)

In the role of Teaching Artist, you will collaborate directly with students in the 5th to 8th grades, guiding them in cultivating cooperation, respect, focus, and self-expression through the empowering practice of social dance. This position transcends merely instructing steps—it’s about fostering a secure, enjoyable environment in which students can flourish.

Your Responsibilities
- Facilitate engaging in-school dance residencies (10-week sessions, 2 days per week, totaling 20 sessions)
- Instruct foundational social dance techniques
- Establish a structured, affirmative, and inclusive classroom atmosphere
- Promote teamwork, self-assurance, and respectful dialogue among students
- Collaborate with educators, schools, and program personnel to enhance student achievement
Qualifications We’re Seeking
- A true passion for working with young individuals aged 10–13
- Experience in dance, theater, performing arts, education, or youth programs
- Excellent communication capabilities and a confident presence in the classroom
- Capable of managing classroom behavior with compassion and professionalism
- Reliable, adaptable, and dedicated to seeing through the full residency schedule
- Willingness to travel throughout Northeast Ohio (primarily within Cuyahoga County)
- Access to dependable transportation and timely communication via phone or email
- Ability to adhere to a professional dress code (no sneakers)
Additional Requirements
- Mandatory attendance at paid training (August 3-7, 2026)
- Successful completion of BCI & FBI background checks
