Senior Contracts Attorney

We are seeking a Senior Contracts Attorney to assist with customer-side contracts while collaborating with diverse legal teams within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Senior Attorney for customer-side commercial contracts within the Electrical Sector, Americas division of the company.
- Lead negotiations for a variety of commercial contracts in partnership with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, sales, and other key stakeholders to facilitate contracting processes.
- Directly report to the Senior Counsel of Commercial Contracts in the Legal department.
- Build a comprehensive understanding of our products, services, and market dynamics to deliver strategic legal advice.
- Draft, review, negotiate, and provide guidance on commercial agreements to ensure advantageous business terms.
- Identify potential legal and commercial risks linked to contracts and devise mitigation strategies.
- Offer practical and strategic contractual assistance across different agreement types, including MPAs/MSAs, SOWs, EULAs, Terms of Service, Brand Label agreements, Consulting agreements, and Joint Development agreements.
- Engage with various internal teams, including Tax, Credit, Sales, Finance, Insurance, and specialized legal units.
- Work closely with specialized legal teams such as Business Counsel, Intellectual Property (IP), and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
- Utilize strong emotional intelligence to customize legal advice for a range of stakeholders and business audiences.
- Embrace a collaborative and innovative mindset in contract negotiations and problem resolution.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law institution, along with an active license to practice law in the United States.
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience as a licensed attorney.
- Demonstrated experience of at least 7-10 years in negotiating sell-side contracts.
- Ability to adapt legal counsel and contractual solutions to the specific challenges presented across different markets and business areas.
