The Analytical Chemist will become a member of the Mass Spectrometry team. This position involves the comprehensive development, validation, and execution of LC-MS methods spanning a wide array of modalities, including primary metabolites, small molecules, intricate peptides, and whole proteins.
Key Responsibilities of the Analytical Chemist:
- Method Development: Create and refine reliable LC-MS/MS methods to quantify and characterize small molecules, specialized metabolites, peptides, and proteins.
- Instrumentation: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot cutting-edge mass spectrometers, particularly Thermo Orbitrap (Exploris/Lumos) and Triple Quadrupole (TSQ) systems.
- Data Processing: Leverage advanced software tools (such as TraceFinder, Compound Discoverer, Proteome Discoverer, or Skyline) to analyze complex datasets and provide meaningful insights to project teams.
- Independent Execution: Oversee multiple projects concurrently, from the design of experiments and preparation of samples to the final reporting of data, working with minimal oversight.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with metabolic engineers, synthetic biologists, and automation engineers to incorporate analytical assays into high-throughput workflows.
Qualifications for the Analytical Chemist:
