**EHS Manager**
**Location:** Madison, OH
**Salary Range:** $95,000 – $110,000

We are seeking an **Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager** to take charge of enhancing our safety culture, ensuring compliance, fostering accountability, and driving continuous improvement at our Madison and Solon, OH facilities. This role requires a proactive leader who is operationally engaged, well-organized, and capable of establishing trust among plant, office, and executive teams. The EHS Manager will oversee environmental, health, and safety initiatives, collaborating closely with operations, production, leadership, maintenance, and administrative teams to promote operational discipline and safety ownership across the organization.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Safety Leadership & Culture (45%)**
– Develop and reinforce safety programs, policies, and training across both sites.
– Lead and preside over safety committee meetings.
– Organize and conduct safety training sessions, including DOT regulations, shipping, onboarding, and other compliance-related training.
– Promote a culture of proactive safety, accountability, and relentless improvement initiatives.
– Investigate incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective measures.

**SDS, Label, & Hazard Communication (30%)**
– Oversee and manage the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) systems for both raw materials and finished products.
– Create and revise SDS documentation and chemical labeling as necessary.
– Manage submissions and ensure compliance with labeling standards.
– Promote best practices for hazard communication and chemical handling.

**Regulatory Compliance & Reporting (20%)**
– Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, environmental, and other relevant regulatory standards.
– Prepare and file necessary regulatory reports, permits, registrations, and documentation.
– Act as the main contact for regulatory inspections and audits.
– Manage waste handling, environmental reporting, and related compliance efforts.
– Stay abreast of evolving regulations and proactively update practices accordingly.

**Workers Compensation & Risk Management (5%)**
– Assist in managing workers’ compensation claims and coordination.
– Facilitate return-to-work and light-duty programs as needed.
– Collaborate with leadership and HR to follow up on incidents and implement prevention strategies.

**Required Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of relevant EHS experience in manufacturing or chemical sectors.
– Familiarity with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations, hazardous materials, and regulatory reporting.
– Proven experience in delivering safety training, conducting audits, investigations, and compliance initiatives.
– Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up capabilities.
– Ability to convert compliance requirements into effective operational practices.
– Proficient in SDS authoring, editing, and chemical labeling.

**Preferred Qualifications**
– Degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
– Background in the chemical industry.
– Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
– Proven ability to lead cross-functional operational projects.
